We are initiating a number of new services for 2012 which will help elevate the profile of your businesses and create an interactive forum for both Suppliers and Brides. Monthly Wedding Newsletter
Each month we will send out a Newsletter to all Suppliers and Brides. The Newsletter will contain pertinent and relevant information on the South African Wedding Industry, Upcoming Wedding Expos, Booking dates, trends from overseas, fashion & decorating ideas and special offers to both Brides and industry. Monthly Newsletters will also tackle topics such as Honeymoon Destinations, Wedding Fashion & Accessories, Photography, Financial Planning, Wedding Gifts each month. These article will be written by recognised experts in their respective fields.
A minimum of 30,000 copies will sent out free of charge. There are only four advertising spots available per issue.
VENUE BLOG
Each month we will visit 4 venues and write a special article on these venues. The article will an objective assessment of the venue in our opinion. Having owned and run a number of venues we believe we are well qualified to provide Brides with an overview of what they can expect. Preference will be given to existing venues. Venues will be selected at random. This is free service for Members of ABIA.
WINE BLOG
Many consumers are confused (as we are) by the number of new Wine Labels available in South Africa. What wine is good value, what wine should I serve at my wedding? We have appointed an expert panel who will taste selected wines that provide excellent value for Weddings. The Panels recommendations and comments will be published via the ABIA Wine Blog each month. Venues are entitled to and in fact need to make a fair profit on the sale of wine – but they often select only wines that are easy for them to obtain, rather than searching for wines that represent great value. Contact ABIA to ensure you get the best deal on your wines. A prerequisite for us to evaluate a wine is that the producer must be able to sell wine direct to the venue at a ‘special price’.
